Sahaja Meditation Team

Welcome to Sahaja Yoga Meditation of Cincinnati.  We've been reaching out to the city since the 1980's with free classes that teach people an easy, common sense method to meditate and reach a state of inner silence we call thoughtless awareness.  Why is it free?  Because we never paid for it and could never charge for it.  Why do we do it?  Because it is our way to reach out to the world and share the peace and joy of meditation.  We want to help individuals to help themselves by meditating away the stress, anxiety and general negativity that can get us down in life.  One by one, we can make a difference.  For years, we have offered weekly classes, given special programs for businesses and organizations and participated at festivals.
We look forward to continuing this tradition and awakening the joy of meditation in more and more folks within our community.

Practicing Sahaja Meditation has many benefits – Mental. Emotional. Physical. Spiritual.
Mentally, you’ll experience better focus, increased concentration and more stamina.
Emotionally, you will enjoy better balance, a better understanding of yourself and more control. You can achieve the state of thoughtless awareness – a place of peace, calm and understanding.
Physically, every time you meditate, you will feel relaxed, calmer and rested.
Spiritually, you can awaken your Inner Energy and become better in tune with your inner self, gaining awareness and a clearer understanding of the world and your place in it.

Everyone is welcome to attend any or all of our weekly public programs. They are always free of charge and there is no need to bring anything like mats or wear special clothes.  Questions are encouraged and new people are invited to attend – even if one has never meditated before. Sessions are 1 hour and start and end with instructions on basic techniques.  Participants are seated comfortably on chairs as they are guided through a meditation accompanied by soothing instrumental music.   Folks often stay afterwards and chat informally.

For the year 2018, we are conducting our first ever Realize Cincinnati Tour.  Realize what?  We want Cincinnati to realize the peace and joy that comes from meditation.  To that end, we intend to set up a rotating series of 4 week classes that touch various regions of the tri-state at some point during the year.  Folks who attend and want more can follow us around the region or attend one of our ongoing weekly programs.  Plans are still unfolding, so watch this space for meeting details.

“Whatever I'm going to tell you today, please do not accept it blind-folded. We have accepted many things blind-folded and we have suffered. But keep your mind open as scientists and if this hypothesis is proved, then you have to accept it as honest people”
